THANK YOU NORTH!!!

Thank you North family for creating such an amazing memorial and scholarship award ceremony today. It was a beautiful celebration of Matt's life and we are grateful to each and every one of you for being there. Thank you to the students who spoke during the ceremony. You shared wonderful stories. We are proud of each of you for having the courage to speak in front of so many people and express your emotions openly. It is important that we continue to talk about our feelings surrounding Matt's death as well as other losses you have endured. Please take the time to talk, write, journal, draw, paint, walk, run, and process your emotions. Please reach out to others when you need support. You are not alone. Please keep in touch with us. Your emails are always welcome at taraemrick@hotmail.com.

Thank you DeLana, Jennifer, Anne, and all of the North Staff for making today so amazing. Thank you students, especially Tony and Henry for your words and brilliant art work....you and the rest of the student speakers made today powerful. We believe in all of you.

Please share your stories here.....and please stay connected....

matt was one of my most favorite mentors since ive bee n in North. He was so nice to anyone who came up to him and started to talk.He could keep a conversation gong. it could be about anything even the crazist things you wold never imagine. But now he's gone the school seems so much quiter.May he missed and mch appreciated by others. It is very hard to belive thats he's not here.Someth=imes when i am crying I take a ictur of him and hold i t to my heart and say I wish u were here so i can talk to u.but at the end I have to relize thats he's not here but his sprit will always and forever be with me as well as family and friends.I know for a fact that he's watcing over everything to keep everybody out of trouble. So may he be with us and hope he's much better up there with God.R.I.P ME.

I cannot beleve it has almost been a year without Matthew Emrick.the loss of him still hurts. though we will carry on without him, it is still troubling that he is not with us anymore.i still think of him all the time. missing the memorys i had of him.yet i no he is still in a better place with god and god will take care of him for us all. i just had to let this statment out. and i will continue to write comments to remember him. and never forget him.
luv always
